UBS Asset Management's Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) business actively manages investments of around USD 286 billion globally and regionally within Asia Pacific, Europe and the US, making it one of the largest asset managers in alternative investment solution providers worldwide. Our capabilities reach across the risk/return spectrum, ranging from core to value-add and opportunistic strategies in real assets, private markets as well as hedge funds. We offer indirect exposure to leading real estate, infrastructure, private equity, private credits and hedge funds managers. The business attracts capitals from institutional and private investors globally, and is looking to expand this capability with a new hire for the business development team.

We are looking for someone who can:
・provide specialist knowledge of UGA's products, especially real assets and private markets, to Japanese investors
・deliver UGA's global capabilities and platform to the Japanese market
・provide high-quality investment solutions to investors
・work closely with the Asset Management Client Coverage and Wholesale teams as an alternative 'investment specialist' to support sales and client services efforts in Japan
・work with the wider UGA APAC portfolio management teams as well as the global UGA teams
・work with the UGA Distribution and Client Coverage/Marketing teams to prepare and maintain materials specific for the Japanese market
・manage Japanese clients invested in UGA products via local discretionary management accounts (in conjunction with the Client Coverage), which will include client reviews, ad-hoc queries and client servicing
You have:
・significant experience, at least 10 years, in an institutional investment, private markets specialist, product specialist or alternative sales role
・advanced technical, product and market knowledge in one or several of real estate, infrastructure, private equity, private credit investments
・preferably have experience of working in a large institution with a demonstrated collaborative approach to working with generalist sales teams
・fluency in Japanese with excellent written and spoken English
