Your role
Are you proficient in driving the business forward? Do you know how to make sure things run smoothly?
We're looking for someone like that to:
• Help enable the Japan Global Banking business to develop and execute its strategic initiatives
• Help drive profitability- through revenue enablement and identification of cost/efficiency opportunities
• Fully own the front-to-back controls in close collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Operations, HR and IT teams to ensure a stable operating environment and deliver on conduct/culture objectives
• Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing management of front office controls framework and the effectiveness of the lines of defense across Global Banking activities
• Work collaboratively with Global Banking Japan and APAC GB COO team to coordinate and respond audit, regulatory and tax assessments
• Assist with the development and maintenance of local and product governance through the management of commitment committee processes, and JPN Global Banking management committees
Your team
You’ll be working in Japan as member of the Japan business management team within Global Banking COO APAC. The team is responsible for driving the development and enablement of the business strategy, whilst maintaining an independent role in the oversight of operational, regulatory and conduct risks, and managing the systems and processes of multiple change and remediation programs. You will also work closely with the business to drive innovation for the global banking Japan team looking for ways to automate/streamline processes, and enable growth.
The team works closely with colleagues around the globe and the APAC Global Banking COO to ensure policies, procedures and solutions are implemented consistently on a global/regional basis.
